About Me

My Journey

Once upon a spreadsheet…
I didn’t start out in the accounting world wearing a crown. In fact, I was just like many small business owners—scrambling to figure out where the money went, what the heck a Chart of Accounts was, and why receipts seemed to vanish when I needed them most.

Originally from Australia, I’ve globe-trotted my way through different industries, landing in the U.S. where I finally embraced my inner numbers nerd. I went back to school, earned my credentials, and found my calling: helping small biz bosses get their financial house in royal order—without the boring lectures or intimidating jargon.

Now, as the Countess of Accounting, I’ve blended my love for storytelling, small businesses, and clean books into a full-fledged mission: to make bookkeeping accessible, understandable, and—dare I say it—fun.

My Skills

Sure, I wear a crown—but I also know how to reconcile a bank statement faster than you can say “sales tax audit.” With over a decade of experience managing books for everyone from independent stylists to international consulting firms, I bring a no-nonsense, real-world approach to small business bookkeeping. I’m fluent in QuickBooks, Wave, and even old-school spreadsheets, and I know how to make each tool work for you—not the other way around.

I’ve helped clients stay on top of their income, expenses, invoicing, and receipts (yes, even the ones that get crumpled at the bottom of a bag), and I specialize in making reports and reconciliations make sense—even to non-numbers people. Whether I’m doing the books myself or teaching others how to wrangle theirs, I break things down in plain English with a cheeky twist. Numbers may not be your thing—but lucky for you, they’re totally mine.
